Orange to launch iPhone in Kenya

Telkom Kenya has underlined its intention to offer the iPhone 3G to be locked under the company's Orange mobile brand.

Orange is pioneering a smart revolution in the way people connect; putting powerful technology in the hands of Kenyans to unleash their potential to achieve more, said Dominique Saint-Jean, Telkom Kenya's CEO.

"This is a major step in our mission to be a true social and business catalyst, liberating and inspiring people with ideas and services that connect," he added.

The phone will retail for 50,400 Kenyan shillings (US$659.37) to 59,200 shillings for postpaid subscribers and for 33,900 to 42,700 shillings for prepaid subscribers.
